By creating an account or using Taste Buds ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Taste Buds is a music competition game where users create and join leagues, submit songs in response to prompts, vote on submissions, and earn points. The Service integrates with Spotify for track search and playlist features.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Taste Buds. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or use another person's account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You retain ownership of content you create (league names, prompts, comments, bios). By posting content, you grant Taste Buds a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Points and wagers within Taste Buds are virtual and have no monetary value. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or transferred for real currency. The wager system is for entertainment purposes only and does not constitute gambling.
Taste Buds integrates with Spotify and other third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will be free of errors. We are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or damages arising from your use of the Service.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at tastebudsgame@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in New York, NY. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via in-app announcement.
